The plastic resin is pneumatically
conveyed to each extruder and blended to precise specification
requirements. Each extruder melts the resin into a molten state and
extrudes the plastic through a circular die. Air is added from inside
the die to "blow" the desired bubble width. While a separate
source of air is forced on the bubble to cool the plastic from its
molten state, back into a solid form.
|
| The bubble then travels four stories high to complete the cooling process. The bubble is then "nipped" down to form a flattened tube and sent back down to the main floor area where it can be slit, wound, rolled, or converted into bags, sheeting, or tubing. | ![]() |

This process is known as "Blown Film Extrusion". Our process is typically one that requires operation around the clock, 365 days per year! |
